 Everything You Do For The Lord Counts

DISCUSSION:
We have rewards that are given to us from Jesus in Heaven. Everything you do for God and Jesus counts. Everything is recorded, and nothing goes unnoticed. Everything you’ve done for the Lord that people don’t know about is recorded. Each time you’ve helped others or done things for others, you’re helping God. When you pray for people and do the right thing even though it hurts and costs you, it’s all recorded. Jesus doesn’t forget these things. Everything you do counts.

I want to encourage you that angels record and watch over all these things. They’re reporting to Heaven all that we do.


Colossians 3:17 TPT:
Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!

• Paul has given the Colossians instructions and encourages them to make sure that whatever they do or say that comes from their lips, they are drenched with the beauty of Jesus. They’re anointed with the anointing of Jesus Christ.

• All your words, and all your deeds, bring constant praise to God.

• The word constant means all the time.

I’m always praying in the Spirit. I’m always worshiping and thanking God and telling Jesus I love him. I’m telling Him that all the time. I’m thankful for what God has done for me, and I’m constantly doing that; because of it, I see new things happen every day because He wants to continually show Himself. You should be encouraged by these words; He has done many great things for you. A lot of times, it’s done in secret, and you don’t know what He’s done. Many times He’s protected you, and you don’t even know about it. Many things have happened and are happening right now that is still a secret. God is working in your life, and I want to encourage you, through your lips and your actions, continually represent Jesus Christ as a faithful God and be a good servant of Him. You’re going to see God manifest in your life.


LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Matthew 5:16 TPT:
Don’t hide your light. Let it shine brightly before others so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give praise to your Father in heaven.

• Here’s another verse encouraging you to let your light shine. Don’t hide it.

• The things God is prompting you to do, such as buying somebody some food or doing something special for someone, just let your light shine.

• Whatever you can do, doesn’t have to cost you money.

• You can do something, and it doesn’t cost you anything.

• Just be nice to somebody.

• Compliment them and tell them that God loves them and let people know that you represent God and that He has come into your life, and that is why you have joy.

• That’s what Jesus is saying in this verse. Don’t hide it.

• Let everybody know, and let God be glorified through it.

OUR DESTINY FULFILLED

Ephesians 2:10 TPT:
We have become his poetry and a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned and advanced our destiny and the good works that we would do to fulfill it.

• God had this amazing plan, and then he wrote it.

• Individually all of us are part of that plan.

• Each generation had assignments to do, and everybody built upon them. • It’s kind of like a handoff.

• Every generation takes from how far that generation before them came, and then they hand off a baton, and we go further.

• We’re building off everyone else that has already come before us, adding to it.

• At the end of the age, God is moving by His Spirit in a special way.

• We’ve been trusted at the end to maybe be the last generation of people on the earth that we can bring to a culmination.

• At the end of the process, you will have intricate things.   

At the end of a house project, when you’re building a house, in the beginning, it’s just foundation, but we have the framing and walls and plumbing. As it gets to the end, people come in and start to paint and put trim in there and windows; it gets intricate. By the end, the finishers come in and do the intricate things like the icing on the cake or the decorations. At the end of the age, we have this happening where the bride is getting ready for Jesus to come back and get her. We are the church, the glorious church without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:26). It’s been spoken over us, and the gates of hell can’t prevail against us (Matthew 16:18).

So, this plan was from the beginning, and all the people that were recreated or born again, have a destiny. God already had this plan, and we just fit into it. Our part is special because no one was ever assigned to this. Everyone that was assigned before us was supposed to do certain things. We have a certain task, and I believe we’re all the finishers. We’re the ones that are going to come in and do the intricate things. I believe we’re all supposed to be building each other up so that we don’t have a spot or wrinkle and are ready for the wedding. I’m excited for all of you out there.

Be aware that God planned these things in advance, as it says here in Ephesians. Our destiny is these things that were planned, and they’re listed. They were all listed in the plan of God before any of us were born, but then individually, we were given gifts and assignments, and our books were written before each one of them came to pass (Psalm 139:16). They were already written. So, this is to ensure that everything comes to pass in God’s heart. Remember, any one of us that is unfaithful puts a burden on someone else in the body to do it because it’s got to be done.

I feel like in our generation, things have been lagging because there are people that just couldn’t finish their race for whatever reason. They didn’t accomplish everything in their hearts, and satan came in and prevented people from doing what they were called to do and living out a full life down here on the earth. Here we are, we’ve made it through a hard time in the last couple of years, and we’re still alive. We should be rejoicing and allowing the spirit of God to manifest through our lives and not hiding it, displaying God’s love to others, doing those things that the Spirit of God may have written about you before you were born, and finding out what those are.

This life is spent discovering. I’m constantly studying and praying and developing myself in certain areas. I’m always bettering myself because I’m in discovery mode. I want to know what’s inside of me, so I get involved with different things to see how I respond. I found out that I could be a pilot. I found out that I could play instruments and I found out that I could draw and do certain things. You can do all these things. You can just endeavor to find out what giftings are inside of you. I pray, I study, but then I also go, and I take classes. I take courses. I get different kinds of certifications.

Your education and everything about you have been predetermined by God. He gave those gifts to you. He did it in advance because He had this plan that’s coming to an end right now. All of us are part of that generation that’s going to finish up. I believe that it’s either us or our children that are going to see the Lord come back. Let’s all be faithful and encouraged by this and remember that everything we do counts and that we should be doing everything from our heart, knowing that God is going to reward us and that He has a plan. He needs to finish it up.

PRAYER:

Father. I just thank You so much by the power of the Spirit. Thank you, Lord, that everyone watching will, by the power of the Spirit right now, will start to see some of the gifts that are in them and some of the things that are written about them in their books. Lord, that You would just show them and start to lead them and help them for this time of discovery, Lord, and this journey that they’re on. Then, Lord, they would be able to complete everything that You have for them. I ask it in the mighty name of Jesus. It’d be a supernatural manifestation of miracles, Lord, and supernatural provision for them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1. Discuss how the destiny that God has for you plays a big part in what He’s trying to accomplish through you. If you don’t participate in the destiny God has for you it affects His plan, and someone else has to do it and fulfill it.

2. Talk about what it means to discover and endeavor to find what your giftings are, and how it’s predetermined by God.

3. Discuss how we’re a part of the generation that will finish up here on earth and how everything we do counts.

4. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
